“Wanderlust in the Modern Age”

A while back I wrote about my pal Oakley’s tireless work on a documentary called “Portrait of the American Climber.” From the footage I’ve seen, the film will be two parts fascinating history, one part charming and a splash nostalgic. Apparently, Oakley sold enough T-shirts to start putting the movie together!

The first preview screening is in the works for November 16 in Golden, Colorado. If you live anywhere near there, you should check it out! Oakley and her crew travelled the country in their old VW bus interviewing rock climbers and drinking very cheap beer (I imagine).

If you can’t make it to Golden, I suggest reading this little article hailing the soon-to-be-famous Oakley.

Knock ’em dead, Oaks!
